How Neature works
Planning a hike in Washington means checking four or five websites: one for the route, one for permits, one for the parking pass, one for the forecast. Neature puts that checklist on one page for every hike.
Where the information comes from
Routes and distances come from OpenStreetMap. We route from each trailhead to its lake, peak, or pass along mapped trails.
Permit rules come from official boundaries: Forest Service wilderness areas and National Park Service park units. Each hike gets the rules for the land it is on, plus the current phase of any lottery or reservation calendar.
Parking passes come from the agency that manages each trailhead.
Forecasts load live from the National Weather Service for the exact spot.
What we can't promise
Rules change, roads wash out, and maps have gaps. Treat Neature as your starting checklist, and confirm with the ranger district or park before you go, especially for overnight trips.
Featured pages
Some hikes have full pages with photos, hiker tips, and stats checked against trip reports. We're adding more, and hikers will be able to send photos and corrections for our team to review.
