Alta Mountain is a peak reached by a 8.4-mile round trip from Rampart Ridge Backdoor Trailhead. The route follows Lake Laura Backdoor Trail, then Lake Lillian Trail, then Rampart Lakes Backdoor Trail, then Rampart Lakes Trail, then Lila Lake Trail to the summit.
